Kyndra Smith is the President and owner of Gunstock Aquatics. Gunstock Aquatics was founded in 2006. Kyndra has been teaching aquatics at BYUH since 1995. She has specialized in classes such as Beginning Swimming and Intermediate Swimming for adults. She keeps current with the top techniques and skills and is enthusiastic to share them with her students. Kyndra has been the Swimming Director for the BYUH Learn to Swim Program since 1994. This program serves the community children from Kaaawa to Haleiwa. Kyndra has felt the demand for year round swimming instruction and has started Gunstock Aquatics to help fulfill those needs. POOL at Gunstock Aquatics- Gunstock Aquatics hosts a 21 foot x 43 foot x 54 inches deep
- Removable platforms provide teaching areas for young student to touch and explore movement in water.
- Solar & Propane Heated
- Managing of all pool maintenance, sanitation, water balancing, and cleaning is handled by Kyndra who has CPO certification.
Swim InstructorsInstructors that work for Gunstock Aquatics are required to have a base WSI certification and then Kyndra runs another private teaching course to help her instructors teach with the latest and proven techniques and methods. All instructors are required to have American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. This certification includes lifesaving, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid. To ensure that our Instructors possess the mental and physical training and confidence required for the position, we hold regular training and skill in-services. |
